Gain Empathy & Understand Your Users

A persona is a representation of a typical person or group of people that would be using your product or service. You can create, store, and utilize as many personas as you would like and they can be as detailed as you need.

Handrail allows you to tag participants as specific Personas during research sessions and then utilizes that information in the Results area of your studies to help you identify patterns, themes, and other important insights about your different user types.

Creating Personas

Navigate to the Personas tab in the main menu and click “+ Create Persona”. Add a real and distinct name that represents a type of person or group of people. Typically personas will contain information that helps you and your team gain empathy like a bio, goals they are trying to achieve as well as wants, needs and pain points.
